My dad sells indian food in farmers markets and he’s making a website so he can sell indian food online but the problem is he dosn’t know a single thing about html so I’m doing it and I’m done with it but I need to know how I actually sell them!!! I have the items listed and everything but I just cant figure out how to sell!!!

Well of course nobody will come to you website if they don’t know it exist. You should advertise a link to your website on a website with a lot of traffic. You should try contacting celebrity blogs or other common websites. Big websites like Yahoo might charge high rates.
Try alibaba.com ..an international market place online.
If your dad is selling to people in a farmer’s market, he knows what it takes to sell his product. Remember, people are people wherever you find them, but your problem may actually come down to getting interested people to visit your website.
Having a website without the traffic is like having a 20′ billboard in the middle of the desert. If people don’t see it or have a need when they see it, you just can’t sell them.
I have no idea if people are looking for Indian food on the Internet, but it’s fairly easy to find out. The Overture keyword selector tool shows 144,211 people searched for the keyword Indian food last month. The most important people that can help you with your on-line presence are your dad’s current customers. At the very least, he should be getting their email addresses and mailing them regularly with things like recipes, special offers, new arrivals, etc. It’s far easier to sell to an established customer than someone who has never bought from you.
Great marketers take this one step further and get the postal mailing address and birthday/anniversary of their customers. They then follow up with personalized hand written greeting cards for every major holiday/birthday/anniversary. Make sure they know they are the most important people to his business.
