The polar bear recovery plans in Anchorage is from today’s news. You can Google Anchorage Daily News and search for the title to learn more:

“Experts tackle plight of the polar bear”

    Polar bears news…
    .
Experts tackle plight of the polar bear and recovery plans
    .
There is a story today in the Anchorage Daily News talking about the Fish & Wildlife Service hosting a large town gathering in Anchorage.
    .
The meeting is about coming up with ideas that could be used in a polar bear recovery plan.
    .
(News is for anyone interested. To the OIL TROLL cyber-bullies, don’t read the news if you don’t like it and it conflicts with your oil industry propaganda)

  3. wkwickham says:

@Nightversionn yet the polar bear population is 5 TIMES LARGER THAN IT WAS in 1950

yes children, world wide polar bear population totaled 5000 in 1950 and today tops 25,000

why? nothing to do with warming or cooling- nations put laws in place to stop SHOOTING them

    thats it

    wow, pretty scary huh

  6. andygd8 says:

the my kit bloke, ozone depletion increases uv rays that reach the earth, which causes cancer, not global warming

  7. Nightversionn says:

Polar bear are in trouble due to declining sea ice due to global warming. End of story

  8. TheMYkitBroke says:

and obviously google climategate and satelitegate have nothing better to do with their time than to manipulate data to worry the world.

    *conspiracy theory, much?*

  9. TheMYkitBroke says:

So what you’re saying is, global warning is a complete lie….righttttt. Obviously the ozone layer could is also a lie, because it being depleted would cause global warming…which isn’t happening aparently….yeah.

  10. Slave2Reason says:

@imkevinberry Righto, but global Warming/Climate Change is a massive fraud… Google ClimateGate and SateliteGate to see how they manipulate weather data to support their agenda.

  11. imkevinberry says:

@Slave2Reason GLOBAL warming. Not England warming. Global Warming refers to the average temperature of the PLANET. Climate change is a more broad term. Sure it may be colder in some places, but in others they may be experiencing a longer drought, dryer weather, etc. Weather is different than climate.

    Science news…
    .
Climate change: The prospects for polar bears
    .
Is the polar bear doomed to extinction? Maybe not, according to models of the future extent of Arctic sea ice if greenhouse-gas emissions are curbed. The outlook depends on the ability of policy-makers to act.

England has coldest opening week of December since 1659…

    Global warming?

  14. Nnomulac says:

Classic. So glad this cartoon was made

  15. konradvalladaresv says:

@olddeuteronomy Perhaps they did so in order to learn how to speak English…

  16. konradvalladaresv says:

@beefygreenapples OK, so I need a MA in classics to prove climate change wrong? Or better, a diploma in journalism studies. Those are very especialized studies on the matter, right? That’s why he never loses a debate, I guess?

  17. Nightversionn says:

    Polar bear in the news…

  18. Nightversionn says:

In warming climate, geese & polar bears strike a balance
    .
The polar bear is the poster child for species threatened with extinction by climate change.
    .
But a new study finds that the Arctic animals may get a reprieve in the form of an abundant supply of eggs from snow geese.

@beefygreenapples You do realize Christopher Monckton is a politician and a journalist, not a scientist, right?

  20. Raichon says:

I like how the argument presented for global warming here is actually made ridiculous by the polar bears just beforehand. They’re illustrating that correlation does not equal causation. This is a stronger argument against human-caused global warming than for it.

  21. pohjalo says:

@olddeuteronomy Well, they do eat humans if allowed to.

  22. noteviljustwrong says:

If you want to see something interesting about Global Warming and James Cameron, watch this: youtube.com/watch?v=TKZ4RolQxec

  23. olddeuteronomy says:

The polar bears obviously had a grudge against humans for something, why else would they have killed some of them and stolen their clothes?

  24. AgnesBojaxhiu2000 says:
