Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Federal Reserve slashed the interest rates to target 0.25% to 0%..It is to fight deflation or  recession. It was the trump card used to revive economy.Free money supply can create demand and increase the consumption. It can help sinking economy. But can it have kick start  effect to the problem and place economy on the fast track. The answer is no.It can do no miracles in short run.Free money supply can boost the demand not the confidence.Investors will not invest money somewhere because they get it at free interest rate.Investors look for returns. One will invest only if he is confident of making money on investment not just because it’s free money.Borrower has to pay the principle amout back if not interest.Nobody will take a risk of investing particularly if there is going to be a depreciation of invested asset.People will look for surety and would not like to take the unnecessary risk unless and until confidence revives.Fed and U.S.Government have to be prepared to take more actions on SOS basis and be ready with alternative plans as interest rate trump card has been already used.Restoring investors confidence is the need of hour.

Traders were cautious and tried to book profits.they expect something more has to be done to kick start the economy.Depriciating dollar will only help commodities prices and emerging markets.Wait and watch was the policy before jumping on to the bandwagon.Redumption pressure in January are also feared by them.Emerging market Government are also expected to cut the interest rates further to catch up with Fed

Tags: , ,

If someone asked you what the most important marketing tool is, you would probably respond with business cards. You would be absolutely right about that since it is without a doubt a powerful marketing tool. What if you were asked if there is a particular etiquette regarding business cards? The answer will differ depending on where you are located in the world.JapanIn Japan, business cards are called meishi and are exchanged with great ceremony. The proper way to give and receive business cards is with both hands. It is first receivee with both hands, followed by a bow, and expression of gratitude to the person for the opportunity to meet with them. The cards are not then immediately put away, because it is regarded as rude. It is printed in the home language on one side and Japanese on the other and presented with the Japanese language side up. The Japanese place emphasis on status and hierarchy, so a title is a must. During a meeting the Japanese normally place the business cards on the table in front of them. The business cards card will contain the name and title along with the company name, address and telephone number of the businessman. In Japan it is frowned upon to write on the business card as well as putting the card in your pocket or wallet. These actions are viewed as disrespectful. Cards are put in card holders. Since the Japanese value the business card so highly, the highest quality cardstock is usually used.United KingdomBusiness card etiquette is a bit more relaxed in the UK and involves little ceremony. It is not considered disrespectful to keep cards in your pocket, but they should definitely be kept clean and presentable.IndiaBusiness cards are presented so the recipient may read the text as the card is being handed to them. If you have a university degre, or any honour for that matter, it is something that should be put on the business card. When handing and receiving business card the right hand is used, and the cards do not need to be translated into Hindi. North AmericaLittle if any ceremony is attached to card exchanges here, the business card etiquette is quite loose. Although cards should be kept clean and presentable, it is not uncommon for businessmen to carry cards loose in their pockets or to make notes on the card’s back or other blank surfaces. It is actually suggested by many to leave parts of the business card blank to have a area to write on when out in the field. Finding a writing surface can be hard to find sometimes.Business cards are usually handed out at the beginning of meetings, and just one is given. At informal meetings more than one business card is handed.ChinaIn China it is preferable to present your card before you ask for that of the other person. The translation of the card is in simplified Chinese characters and in the appropriate dialect (Mandarin or Cantonese.) If the business is distinguished by being the oldest or the largest the card will convey that fact. As in Japan, the card is presented with both hands, Chinese translation facing up, with the type toward the recipient so the card can be read. After receiving a business card it is customary to bow and thank the person for the opportunity to meet with them. After receiving a card it is examined carefully, and a nice gesture would be to ask for a clarification of some point to convey interest. The cards are vever put a card away immediately and never written on.General Business Card Tetiquette Tips- If traveling to another country, have a translation in the appropriate language.- When in another country hand the business card with the appropriate language facing up.- Business cards are usually exchanged at the beginning or end of a meeting.- Make a point to study the card that is handed to you, commenting on it and asking any questions about it if any.-Have plenty with you so you do not run out.

Credit Card Services and Business Loans for the Small Business

Tags: , , , , ,

To achieve financial independence, experts encourage even currently employed individuals to consider entrepreneurship. Setting up your own business, no matter how small, is touted as one of the best ways toward building the foundation for wealth. Those who are concerned about having a safety net need not take the plunge recklessly. One can start setting up a small business even while employed.  Of crucial use to small businesses are credit card services and small business loans. The entrepreneur needs to know how to avail of these tools and how to effectively wield them for maximum business growth.Credit Card Services A small business would do well to get reputable credit card services in order to prosper in the current business climate. Availing of credit card services will enable it to accept both credit card and debit card payments. This is true either for brick-and-mortar businesses or internet based online businesses. After all, most consumers nowadays routinely use credit cards or debit cards for payment purposes. It only makes good business sense to be well-equipped for the needs of credit card users and debit card users as well as for the needs of customers who pay in cash.Merchant services provide credit card services covering a wide range of solutions for the processing of credit cards and debit cards as payment options. These credit card services include traditional terminal equipment at point of sale, where credit cards or debit cards are swiped. It also includes software and high speed IP solutions for both traditional commerce and e-commerce. Credit card and debit card payments can, therefore, be accepted in person or through the internet, by phone or by fax.     Small Business LoansAny business – whether a small start-up business, a medium-scaled one or a big business company – will be needing an infusion of additional capital sooner or later. Additional capital is always needed for expansion, additional inventory, additional manpower, new systems, new equipment or a new physical layout. Capital is not always easy to come by, though. The original investors’ personal coffers may have been emptied by the earlier outlays. Prospective investors may not be keen on shelling out funds in times of crisis. Businesses, therefore, have no choice but to seek business loans.Getting business loans is a difficult process. Even small business loans are not readily approved. Be prepared to present a lot of documentation and paperwork. For small business loans, the proprietor’s personal credit history is taken into account and related references need to be submitted. Of course, the company’s financial statements are just as important in proving the feasibility of the business and its capacity to repay its business loans. Having a detailed business plan will show your business strategies and projections, demonstrating your business acumen.Unfortunately, even with all the requirements completed, applications for business loans – including small business loans – are, more often than not, disapproved. SolutionsSome merchant services provide a comprehensive solution for the needs of small businesses in relation to credit card services and small business loans. The set up is elegantly simple. A small business need only avail of the company’s credit card services to be eligible for merchant cash advances. These cash advances are actually small business loans, except that there is no need to go through the complicated application process for business loans. Repayment is made very easy and worry-free, too. A certain small percentage is built into the credit card processing rates to take care of the advances. This way, repayment is actually done automatically in a very affordable manner and according to income flow.Small business owners would, indeed, be wise to look into these timely business solutions.
