On court order, Mayawati government stays quota in promotions
The Uttar Pradesh government Tuesday announced it would abide by the Supreme Court order to follow the state high court ruling staying reservation in promotions to all categories of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes government employees.

The Hindu Business Line : 2G scam: CBI objects to court appointed team monitoring probe
The CBI on Wednesday said it was willing to provide regular status reports to the Supreme Court in a ‘sealed cover’ on the investigation into the 2G spectrum allocation scam due to its ‘magnitude’, but objected to a demand for the probe being monitored by a court-appointed team.
