CBS to launch joint venture in India
In a 50-50 deal with India’s Reliance Broadcast Network, the U.S. broadcaster plans to create three English-language pay TV channels to showcase its programs. Broadcasting giant CBS Corp. is the latest U.S. media company to enter the fast-growing Indian television market, teaming up with a company backed by one of India’s wealthiest men.
