With the world becoming smaller due to globalization, there are a lot of options available to people for everything and the same rings true for home decoration. Today, one can decorate their homes in any style that they want – be it the Arabian Style, or the Indian Style, or even the medieval style. While home decor is interesting, today people who have themed hotels and restaurants can also look out for themed furniture, as there are several companies and firms that deal in themed furniture. Indian themed hotels and restaurants are quite famous in the western world. Here is some important information about Indian furniture for a restaurant.
Atithi Devo Bhavo:
India is one of the few countries that are known for its hospitality and the phrase ‘the guest is similar to God’. Therefore, Indian furniture is one of the most elegantly designed and comfortable furniture that one might ever get. A little bit of searching will help you find the perfect Indian wooden furniture for your restaurant, hotel or watering hole.
Indian Wooden Furniture is for all Rooms:
Indian wooden furniture is one of the most complete furniture sets in history. Therefore, one would get Indian furniture for the dining room, the bedroom, the drawing room and even the kitchen. Of course, the kitchen furniture has to be sturdy and specially made, simply because it has to withstand the work in the kitchen.
The same goes for furniture for restaurants and hotels. You will find the most elegant chairs, sofas, dining and serving tables etc that will add a quaint and retrospective Indian touch to the look and feel of your restaurant or hotel.
Form and Function:
Like everything else, Indian furniture holds a special place in a typical Indian family. Indians almost revere their homes and the same reverence is reserved for the furniture – which means that the furniture once bought is kept for almost a lifetime. Therefore, Indian furniture is much more durable and can take a lot more wear and tear than most of the modern type of furniture that we see. Therefore, one would not have to spend much on wooden furniture made from India, unless they are really buying a chunk of Indian history at an auction.

I’m about to open a food delivery business here in San Antonio, Texas! A market that has been truely underserved in this regard. For a nominal delivery fee of $5.00, and a minimum order of $20.00, I’ll deliver hot, fresh food from over 10 different restaurants in 45-60 minutes straight to your front door! The name of my business is DELIVER EATS and we’ll be opening up in early November, 2007. You’ll be able to order over the phone, or online at www.delivereatsonline.com ! No more pizza, just because they’re the only ones that’ll deliver! Now you can have your choice of over 10 different types of cuisine including Bar-B-Que, Seafood, Mexican, Thai, Indian, and Italian, just to name a few. I’ll be serving the North, NW, and Downtown Areas of town to start with. Residential and Corporate business is welcome, Lunch and Dinner available Mon-Sat, Closed on Sunday. My question is this. Who here will use my service? What can I do to improve the concept? What have I forgotten? Thank You!
I own a indian restaurant and with the credit crunch taking place id like some ideas on a catchy slogan to match the indian food. all answers will be appreciated thank you
I’ve started working at a brand new restaurant but not many costumers are showing interest. The restaurant has been advertised on the local paper and we’ve done some street promotion… The food is great (Indian with live barbeque) and the prices are reasonable, the place is really funky and cosy. What do you think could improve the number of people coming in?
I am an accomplished amateur chef with an MBA. My thoughts are that I know business and can assess an industry. There are no Indian restuarants in my town. My town is small-ish; 100K people, a decent sized University, a small but growing ethnic food market. So..is this folly to entertain? Eveything I read about opening a restaurant says ” hard work! low pay! really hard!”. Well, that sounds like my life already. Why not have some fun too? I would love to hear people’s opinions.
Thanks!
El
The restaurant will be serving Indian foods as well as Chinese. Please suggest a trendy and attractive names for my restaurant.
