15 000 years ago there weren’t 6,5 billion people. There were no factories and motor vehicles that pollute the air. There were no big piles of trash we don’t know what to do with… many things were different. How about the smog that covers major cities in the world, and what it does to human health? Wouldnt you admit there’s more than a slight difference between then and now?

umm, didnt they prove global warming wrong? im not sure but..

  3. EbonyManta says:

There’s also another problem. The ecosystem consists of millions of species, the extinction of each means one less organism that could potentially survive a disaster like this or others. For millennia, civilization has attacked the ecosystem to support its own growth. Each species that is extinct as a result of its habitat being destroyed makes it that less likely the entire ecosystem could survive.

  4. EbonyManta says:

Technology may be our downfall. If an ice age occurred, agriculture could only be possible in specialized greenhouses, of which most third world countries would not have access to. Without them, the world economy would collapse, assuming it hadn’t already. Year after year, the amount of food produced would dwindle. Depending on how long the ice age lasts, the only human survivors would be a select few who could fuel their greenhouses, or those who learned how to survive, like the Inuit.

  5. Donnievil says:

The reality is that not only can most people not use less, the companies and individuals in charge of raising prices don’t want them to use less. Do you really think that oil cartels want you to use less gas because there’s apparently a shortage? Which, as a side note, we should have been out of a few years ago according to stats released back in the 70’s & early 80’s.

Have we sped it up? That’s the problem, we have no way of knowing yet.

if you ask me, we aren’t destroying the planet. earth has been through worse situations than this. plus, if this IS going to cause an ice age, we survived it 15,000 years ago as cavemen basically, why not now? with all our new techno stuff available.

    inconvinient truth

  8. dangusernames123 says:

Oh no I got thumbed down, but no answer to my question. Interesting development.

  9. dangusernames123 says:

Quick question: What are the parameters of science? That which cannot be observed measured or repeated is outside the boundaries of science. Evolution is consequently quite difficult to prove since you cannot observe, measure, or repeat it (that is, if you’re not narrow-minded).

    A presuming fool!

  11. shadowclaw78 says:

while it may be true that “GW and GC” has happent in the past, i think that t is aparent that people are speeding up what would have taken over 1,000 years. dont you agree? and if people are truly being taken advantage of, then there should be other evidence suporting the clame. some just think if they start charging more for energy consumton, people would use less.

  12. laylad02 says:

Dexerion, sorry, misunderstood your comment, I get it now.

  13. Donnievil says:

If you mean is it my estimation that money is the reason behind “green” propaganda, then I would say not entirely. Do I believe that millions of people are being taken advantage of wrongly for caring about the environment, yes.

There was a recent case of a “carbon tax” being introduced to an area. It was supposed to be aimed at industries. They simply raised all their rates to compensate and now the residents have to pay more for everything. Does this help in any way? No.

  14. Donnievil says:

100% of scientists believed in global warming, I would agree with them. What they don’t agree on is why it is happening. Or whether it is ultimately good or bad.

Over the 128 years teh temperature has gone up 1.2 degrees farenheit. Or less then 1 celcius.

No one else on here has given any facts or even triedto make up numbers. They just repeat “an inconvenient truth” and “National Geographic”. Why is that? Oh, and I forgot wikipedia.

    Hippy douchebag.

    Liberal hippy douchebag.

  17. ewe2bing says:

    Isn’t TAX the ulterior motive?

  18. Donnievil says:

    What exactly was that evidence?

I wonder everytime I hear that “such and such a group has found evidence that…” but then don’t say what that evidence is. Do they believe all people are too stupid to understand the facts? Or is it that there is an ulterior motive to releasing these “studies have found” reports.

“They say”. Ever wonder who “they” are?

  19. IYANDIY says:

ps, i realise this animation was more about sustainable resources rather than drumming on about the carbon footprint bullshit

  20. IYANDIY says:

who’s naive enough to believe CO2 has anything to do with GW. al gores inconvenient truth has been disprooved, based on CO2 not causing but being an after effect of temp. change. we are made of carbon, every leaf that falls from a tree emmits far more CO2 than humans create. floods, earthquakes, global warming is more likely the result of the 2012 planetary allignment, something which happens only every 26,000,000 years. why arent people addressing this?? animation cud teach these ancient lessons

  21. dangusernames123 says:

It doesn’t happen overnight? How did the bombardier beetle come about?

  22. dangusernames123 says:

    Commie.

  23. pinacoladaxb says:

First of all, theories are called theories because they are not proven. Secondly, if global warming doesn’t destroy us first, we are going to destroy the planet.

  24. dangusernames123 says:

Ever heard of Minnesota? We’ve had unpredictable weather since the beginning of time!

  25. dangusernames123 says:

The glory of mass media science is that people and the media will somehow forget that they were following the pied piper of global warming, and they’ll follow the hype of global cooling.
